We were finally given a boy in the Camp family!! Laura and Jarod had their first baby on March 10. His name is Luke Douglas and he is the best baby! The girls and I got to visit them for a week after he was born and we had so much fun. Katelynn was in love with Luke and just wanted to be near him all the time. She kept talking about all of the tiny things he had: fingers, hands, ears, toes etc. Olivia did much better with him than I thought. She’s learned to be much gentler, but is also very jealous of the time and attention he gets. Laura has been SO patient to let the girls look at, hold, touch, and lean over him without getting too nervous. We’ve had so much fun with our new cousin!
When we go to Houston we always try to see our close friends – the Sumrows. They live only about 15 minutes away from my sister so that’s perfect. The girls have so much fun getting to play with Morgan and I’m so glad they’ll always grow up knowing each other even though we live so far apart. Katelynn talks about “Morgie” all the time.
Another very special treat for us on this trip was to get to see my long, long time friend Ellen. We haven’t seen each other in a while so it was great to be together again and get to see her beautiful new house. The girls loved playing with her dog, who Katelynn so affectionately calls “Yellow” now. :) We’ll never forget Ranger!
